Story Board/Shot ideas
shot ideas

This is a very vague description of some ideas I can film. I want a specific difference and the sequence to be split into night shots and daytime shots as the narrative turns. Most of the negative concepts like the couples arguing and a girl getting cat-called will be shot outside at night. Using the Mise En Scène this way will help to set the tone and atmosphere for the video. The video can be broken up by the stanzas and I can use this to make the sequence flow. I plan for the video to include a lot of different actors, the majority will only be on screen for 5-20 seconds. This means that some of filming could be fairly spontaneous and I a lot of organisation of dates and things could be last minute. One couple in particular I want to feature for slightly longer are Chris and Maddy. I have asked them in person specifically if they would might being angry at eachother and possibly being physically abusive. They are both comfortable with this and are happy to help me.
Couple sequence
This is a breakdown of what I want from the couple sequence. My plan at the moment is to make these the only two characters who appear at the beginning and the end of the film. Im hoping this will last around 15-20 seconds.

This is a brief schedule of my shooting. I am hoping to get everything I need shot and edited over this week. I am cutting it very close but if my plan works and none of my actors drop out, this is definitely manageable.

Location
In terms of location, there is nowhere specific that I need to be. The subject matter of the shots does not particularly rely on the background. Only the time of day is really what is important to me. For this reason, I have used locations that are very close to me. Such as a coffee shop that is just around the corner, and an alleyway that is also very close. Everywhere else are just little areas in Lincoln.

Equipment
I don’t particularly need any specific or high-end equipment for this project. If I had had more time, I would’ve booked a different lens for my camera, also maybe some lighting equipment. But as each shot is different and I wont be sure of all of the locations and people I am using; I cannot carry all of the equipment around all of the time. The nighttime shots will be near streetlights which will give me a yellow glow/tint to the footage which I want anyway to represent obsession. A lot of colour correction can be done in post with the editing software so again, I am not especially worried about getting everything perfect.
The camera I will be using is my Canon 600D with the kit lens. So far this camera has not really limited me and the content that I am making so I have decided to stick with it and use it again for this project.

Subject Matter
My actors will be young adults varying from the ages of 18-25. I have chosen this age group as this is roughly my target audience. I think that people are able to identify with people that they see on the screen so the message that I am trying to convey will have more relevance to it.
